Join our Bright Horizons family as a Cook, where your cooking talents and kitchen management skills will make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, families, and staff!

Direct and oversee the operations of the kitchen including menu development, meal preparation, and inventory management. You'll do rewarding work and receive smiles and enthusiastic goodbyes from children at the end of each day.

This is a Part-Time position, Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-12:00PM

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
2. Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
3. Manage all aspects of meal prep, cleaning, and sanitation compliance.

Qualifications:

• Must pass all required background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements.
• At least 18 years old (21 if responsible for driving a van) with a high school diploma or GED.
• Relevant experience in a licensed childcare center, school, or commercial kitchen required.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift or move weights between 10-40 lbs., occasionally heavier weights.
• Stand for up to 95% of the day.
• React quickly to unexpected situations physically and mentally.
• Seek assistance for heavy lifting if necessary.

Compensation:

The hourly rate is between $17.00 and $19.00, depending on experience, education, certifications, location, and other factors.
