City of Richmond Department of Social Services is seeking a Social Casework Coordinator for the Child Care Program Unit. You will provide supportive services to families through government assistance programs and manage a high-volume caseload with confidentiality.

Anticipated hiring range is $54,808–$70,000. Ideal candidate will have an associate degree in human services and 3+ years of paraprofessional experience, with a preference for a bachelor's degree and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in human services, social services, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in human services or social services preferred.
• Three years of human services or social casework paraprofessional experience.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Process childcare applications.
• Provide caseload management for Employment Services Program.
• Complete reports for childcare cases.
• Process requests for emergency services (delinquent utility bills, housing needs, etc.).
• Enter purchase orders/invoices in automated systems.
• Assist customers to gain self-sufficiency while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.
