Big Blue Marble Academy is searching for a compassionate, self-motivated, detail-oriented candidate for our Associate Director position. This position supports the Preschool Director in running a successful school by retaining families and enrolling new families while maintaining a positive team environment. Our ideal candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills, be a team player, problem solver, and dedicated to supporting our mission of providing a global education for children of all ages. This candidate will be eager to learn from management and able to assume assigned duties.

As an Associate Director, you will:
  • Support the director with training and orientation of staff following company and state guidelines. Assist with scheduling and arrange for substitutes to meet state ratios.
  • Conduct tours for potential families according to the company’s tour protocol.
  • Assist the Center Director in maintaining a physical environment that meets licensing standards.
  • Assist with reporting, administrative tasks, and help maintain organized, up-to-date files.
  • Assist with inventory maintenance of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for program activities.
  • Actively pursue professional development by attending staff development sessions.
  • Support the Center Director in maintaining licensing requirements and ensuring compliance with BBMA policies.
  • Support classrooms by filling in for teacher breaks and offering guidance to teachers when necessary.
  • Maintain flexibility regarding business demands, including cooking, cleaning, driving the bus, and working in a classroom when needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in Early Childhood Development.
  • Must have a CDA or TCC completed.
  • Able to complete all licensing requirements for the state.
  • Active communicator capable of articulating children's progress to parents and families.
  • Knowledgeable of CMS and other customer-facing systems.
  • Ability to learn quickly and assist with billing or government programs.
