Job summary

BrightPath Kids is hiring an Assistant Teacher in Strongsville, Ohio. You will work alongside teachers and families to provide a home-like setting for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

You will support teachers with classroom activities, maintain a clean, safe space, and communicate with parents to promote child development. This full-time role offers growth opportunities within BrightPath’s childcare community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized is required.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours is required.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, clean, and safe learning environment.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.

What will you be doing?

As an Assistant Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks — 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
