Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Strongsville is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support teachers and families in providing a safe, nurturing environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

Your role includes assisting classroom instruction, decorating spaces, maintaining cleanliness, encouraging active participation, and communicating with parents about their child’s progress and needs. This is a full-time position with no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks — 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.

What will you be doing?
