Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Glastonbury, CT is seeking full-time childcare staff to support classrooms for children aged 6 weeks through 12 years. You will assist teachers, help maintain a safe and engaging environment, and contribute to positive daily routines.

Paid training is provided on all classroom procedures, and BrightPath offers a 60% childcare discount to employees, a 401(k) with company match, professional development opportunities, two weeks of paid time off in the first year, seven paid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms inside and outside as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe environment that is clean and conducive to growth.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.

• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
