Job summary

BrightPath Kids in New Milford, CT is hiring a full-time Classroom Assistant to support teachers, supervise children from 6 weeks to 12 years, and help keep classrooms safe, welcoming, and well organized. No evenings or weekends, and paid training is provided.

You will decorate classrooms, lead age-appropriate activities, communicate with parents about their child’s day, and help maintain a clean, caring environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized
• Ability to work within regular operating hours
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore
