Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care at West Hartford Park Center is seeking a Teacher Assistant to join our early education team. You will work alongside teachers and families to provide a home-like environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

In this full-time role, no evenings or weekends, you will support instruction, help maintain a clean, safe space, and communicate with parents to share progress and concerns. Paid training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work during regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?
