Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. in Saxonburg seeks a Part-Time Child Care Aide to support daily routines and activities under the supervision of the Children’s Services team. This role focuses on the wellbeing and development of children in a community-based environment.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 9:15 am to 2:45 pm, with a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, health coverage assistance, and opportunities for training and growth within a longstanding nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one of the listed credentials or hours.
• CDA credential or college credits in Early Childhood Education/related field.
• 1250 hours or 2500 hours of work experience in child care.
• Multi-tasking and ability to work in a team environment.

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of Supervisor, Children’s Services, ensures the needs of the children are met and assists in the implementation and direction of daily routines and activities.

This position works a part-time schedule of 9:15am to 2:45pm Monday - Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED and one of the following:
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Eucation, Elementary Education, or Human Services field.
• 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field and 1250 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children.
• 2500 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children.
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
