Pay Range

This range is provided by United States Space Force. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $18.00/yr - $21.19/yr

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Child and Youth Program Assistant in one or more programs, ensuring the safety and whereabouts of children and youth.
  • Provide care, supervision, and oversight for program participants.
  • Assist in preparing age-appropriate activities and supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, and special events.
  • Arrange and serve snacks/meals and execute work in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • May be required to transport children in government vehicles.
Levels and Duties
Target Level

Coordinate activities for children/youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years, creating a welcoming environment and implementing program options for those with special needs.

Intermediate Level

Assist in planning and conducting activities, create schedules, and brief staff and parents.

Entry Level

Perform routine tasks, assist with activities using curriculum, and attend to children's physical needs.

Requirements
  • Complete pre-employment checks and background investigations.
  • Meet physical and immunization requirements.
  • Complete required training within specified timeframes.
Qualifications

Open to everyone; proof of eligibility must be provided. Experience and education requirements vary by level, including high school diploma, childcare experience, and relevant credentials or degrees.
