NorthWork Counseling | Transforming Access to Mental Health Care
NorthWork Counseling is growing, and we are looking for a compassionate Family & Child Therapist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, parents, and families across both school-based and outpatient settings.
Our mission is to break down the barriers families face when trying to access meaningful, evidence-based mental health care. Too many children and families struggle with long waitlists, limited access to providers, or the financial barriers associated with private-pay therapy. We are committed to changing that by providing high‑quality, research‑supported care while accepting insurance and bringing services directly into the communities we serve.
As a Family & Child Therapist at NorthWork, you will work with children and families experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, relationship difficulties, and other mental health concerns.
This position will include a combination of therapy within local school settings and outpatient therapy at our Lenexa office, with opportunities for Telehealth when clinically appropriate.
You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and families while collaborating with parents, schools, and other providers to create lasting change.
This position is a strong fit for a therapist who enjoys working directly with children while also recognizing that meaningful change often involves parents, families, schools, and the larger systems surrounding a child.
We are looking for someone who values autonomy, collaboration, evidence‑based treatment, and building genuine relationships with the children and families they serve.
