Overview

Journey Health Systems and Deerfield Behavioral Health are looking for a psychiatrist who will evaluate, monitor, and diagnose patients to determine treatment and recovery plans. The psychiatrist will counsel patients, write prescriptions, and monitor progress while being compassionate and sensitive to their needs. The psychiatrist will work with patients' primary physicians and/or social workers to continue recovery after treatment.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in biology, pre‑med, physical sciences, psychology, or related field
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Successful completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA)
• Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Four‑year psychiatric residency
• Participation in further medical education and professional organization memberships are preferred
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great interpersonal relationships, communications, and demeanor

Travel Requirements

• Active driver's license and clean DMV check required
• Travel 25-50% of the time within Pennsylvania or surrounding communities
