Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide weekend, holiday, and vacation coverage on the 10-bed inpatient unit for children and adolescents (ages 9-15).
Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations and treatment on the unit, teaching and supervising child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, and school personnel.

The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor will serve as the attending on weekends, holidays and planned coverage on vacation and leave for our 10-bed Inpatient Unit for Children & Adolescents (aged 9-15 years old) and will provide psychiatric consultation to patients admitted to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
Responsibilities include direct patient care involving psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and treatment of on the psychiatric unit with a team consisting of psychologists, behavioral specialists, special education teachers and a school psychologist, social workers, nursing, activities therapists, and fellow and psychiatric consultation and follow up care at the pediatric hospital. This role also involves teaching and supervision of child and adolescent psychiatry fellows.
