Job summary

Blackbird Health in Sterling, VA is seeking a licensed Child and Adolescent Therapist to join a hybrid team that provides both virtual and in-person care. The role focuses on families, evidence-based therapy, and flexible scheduling after school hours.

You will receive a competitive base salary of $90K, full benefits, weekly clinical support, and opportunities for professional growth as you help children, adolescents, and families through integrated care.

Qualifications

• Independently licensed as a LPC, LMFT or LCSW in Virginia.
• LMSW with active SISW or eligibility to obtain SISW.
• One year of direct therapy with children/adolescents.
• Experience with telehealth or virtual sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2-26).
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care.
• Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate.

Position Summary

Blackbird Health is looking for a Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our team in Sterling, VA. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and be empowered to make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families.

Employment Options Available

Full-time positions for independently licensed therapists (LCSW, LPC and LMFT).

W-2 Employee - Full-Time (40 hours/week)

• Commitment: 40 hours per week total: 32 hours of direct therapy per week & 8 non-clinical hours
• Schedule: Flexible within business needs, emphasizing after 3pm weekdays and weekends
• Work Model: Hybrid (virtual and in-person) with a minimum of 16 clinical hours per week onsite.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $90,000

• Guaranteed income with predictable scheduling

How you'll make an impact:

• Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2-26), building strong therapeutic relationships through consistent, high-quality care
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress
• Invest in your patient relationships by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patients
• Participate in consultation to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback and support
• Collaborate with other specialty providers
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records
• Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate

The basics you'll need:

• Independently licensed as a LPC, LMFT or LCSW in Virginia
• LMSW with an active SISW, OR
• LMSW who is eligible to obtain their SISW
• Possess one (1) year of experience providing individual, direct care therapy to children and adolescent patients
• Have one (1) year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual setting
• Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 3pm ET during the week and/or weekends
