Job summary

Blackbird Health seeks a Child and Adolescent Therapist in Burke, VA. You will provide evidence-based therapy to youth while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

The role is full-time with a hybrid model (virtual and in-person) and requires 32 direct therapy hours plus 8 non-clinical hours weekly, with after-3pm ET availability on weekdays and weekends. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Independent licensure in Virginia as LPC, LMFT or LCSW
• LMSW must have an active SISW or be eligible for SISW
• At least 1 year of direct therapy with children/adolescents
• At least 1 year of telehealth/virtual therapy experience
• Availability after 3pm ET on weekdays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents and young adults (ages 2-26)
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on progress
• Establish positive rapport with patients and families
• Participate in supervision/consultation to enhance skills
• Collaborate with other specialty providers
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and records
• Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate

Position Summary

Blackbird Health is looking for a Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our team in Burke, VA. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and be empowered to make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families.

Employment Options Available

Full-time positions for independently licensed therapists (LCSW, LPC and LMFT).

W-2 Employee - Full-Time (40 hours/week)

• Commitment: 40 hours per week total: 32 hours of direct therapy per week & 8 non-clinical hours
• Schedule: Flexible within business needs, emphasizing after 3pm weekdays and weekends
• Work Model: Hybrid (virtual and in-person) with a minimum of 16 clinical hours per week onsite.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $90,000

• Guaranteed income with predictable scheduling

How you'll make an impact:

• Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2-26), building strong therapeutic relationships through consistent, high-quality care
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress
• Invest in your patient relationships by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patients
• Participate in consultation to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback and support
• Collaborate with other specialty providers
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records
• Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate

The basics you'll need:

• Independently licensed as a LPC, LMFT or LCSW in Virginia
• LMSW with an active SISW, OR
• LMSW who is eligible to obtain their SISW

• Possess one (1) year of experience providing individual, direct care therapy to children and adolescent patients
• Have one (1) year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual setting
• Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 3pm ET during the week and/or weekends
