Job summary

Blackbird Health in Sterling, VA is seeking a full-time Child and Adolescent Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) to join our hybrid team delivering both virtual and in-person care. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based therapy to children and teens and ensure a strong client–family partnership.

This W-2, 40-hour week role offers a predictable base salary ($90,000–$100,000) with benefits, flexible scheduling after 3pm, and guaranteed caseload referrals to support

Qualifications

• Independently licensed as LPC, LMFT or LCSW in Virginia.
• At least 1 year of direct therapy experience with children/adolescents.
• Experience delivering telehealth services.
• Ability to work after-school hours (post-3pm ET) and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress.
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and family members; participate in consultations to enhance clinical skills.

Employment Options Available

Full-time positions for independently licensed therapists (LCSW, LPC and LMFT).

W-2 Employee - Full-Time (40 hours/week)

• Commitment: 40 hours per week total: 32 hours of direct therapy per week & 8 non-clinical hours
• Schedule: Flexible within business needs, emphasizing after 3pm weekdays and weekends
• Work Model: Hybrid (virtual and in-person) with a minimum of 16 clinical hours per week onsite.
• Guaranteed income with predictable scheduling

• Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2-26), building strong therapeutic relationships through consistent, high-quality care
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress
• Invest in your patient relationships by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patientsParticipate in consultation to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback and support
• Collaborate with other specialty providers
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records
• Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate

The basics you'll need:

• Independently licensed as a LPC, LMFT or LCSW in Virginia
• Possess one (1) year of experience providing individual, direct care therapy to children and adolescent patients
• Have one (1) year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual setting
• Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 3pm ET during the week and/or weekends
