Job summary

JusticeWorks YouthCare in Luzerne County, PA seeks a compassionate Child Advocacy Crisis Specialist to guide families through social services and legal systems. You will assess needs, connect clients with essential resources, and support children’s wellbeing and stability.

You will be a primary contact for families, handling intake, service planning, and coordination with schools, agencies, and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or a high school diploma with documented experience in child, family, or juvenile justice services.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass all required background clearances.
• Ability to pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
• Availability to work second shift only, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support families navigating social service and legal systems to assess their needs and connect them with critical resources.
• Observe and document children’s needs and home environment to inform support.
• Guide cases from intake and assessment through service planning and follow-up.
• Coordinate with families, schools, agencies, and community organizations to arrange support.
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet program standards.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred

High school diploma with experience in child, family, or juvenile justice services
