Job summary

Columbia Mental Health, a member of Transformations Care Network, is seeking a Child & Adolescent Therapist to empower youth and families. You will join a collaborative clinical team supporting licensure development and delivering evidence-based outpatient therapy in our Alexandria, VA clinics.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Provisional license may be required by state regulations.
• Pursuit of professional licensure and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy tailored to each client.
• Develop crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, meetings, and discharge planning.
• Complete billing, documentation, and insurance authorization forms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and therapists.
