Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a child and adolescent psychiatrist to expand outpatient and community-based services and strengthen educational training for residents and medical students.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical partners, leadership in developing a fellowship, and ongoing scholarly activity within a growing academic program in Peoria, IL.

Qualifications

• MD or DO graduate of an LCME/AACOM-accredited medical school.
• Graduate of an ACGME-approved child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship.
• Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Illinois.
• ABPN board-certified in adult and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and expansion of child and adolescent psychiatric services.
• Supervision and teaching of general psychiatry residents and medical students.
• Function as a University faculty member, performing duties appropriate to academic rank.
• Support the development and administration of an ACGME-accredited child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, coordinating operations, teaching, research, recruitment and faculty development.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
