Job summary

New River Valley Community Services in Blacksburg, VA is seeking clinicians (LMHP or LMHP-E) to work with children and adolescents in our outpatient program. You will provide therapy to children and their families, with access to a shared play therapy room and supervision with a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor, aiming for RPT credentialing.

The position is full-time with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement, PTO, life insurance, and a $3,000 sign-on

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or license-eligible Human Services field required.
• Virginia Licensure as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred.
• At least one year of clinical experience with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to children and adolescents and their families.
• Access supervision with a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor and work toward credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist.
• Work in outpatient program using evidence-based practices.
