Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Milieu Therapist to oversee therapeutic activities for children and adolescents, under supervision of nursing leadership. You will lead structured daily routines, implement behavior plans, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to support psychosocial recovery.

The role requires pediatric experience, CPR and crisis management certifications, and the ability to respond to crises with timely interventions.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service or related field preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current RIH Crisis Management certification or current enrollment.
• Experience in pediatric care and understanding of family dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Frontline clinical position for children and teens with medical and psychosocial needs.
• Lead groups of 6-10 pediatric patients and implement behavior plans.
• Assist in development and documentation of milieu treatment plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and family interactions.
• Maintain safe, therapeutic milieu and crisis intervention when needed.
