Job summary

TidalHealth is seeking an Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Technician in Salisbury, MD. Under supervision, you will perform patient care tasks, participate in a multidisciplinary team, and handle one-to-one patient interactions with careful documentation of behavior and observations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, current Maryland CNA, and CPR certification. Experience with behavioral health and with children/adolescents is preferred.

Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Technician Position Summary

The Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Technician, under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, performs selected patient care activities and participates in the multidisciplinary team. Works without direct supervision on specific areas of responsibility, including one-to-one interactions with patients, reports, and documentation of patient observations and behavior.

Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Technician Position Requirements

• Refer to the policy: Mandatory Education Classes/Hours for all Patient Care area positions.
• Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality.
• Must be self-directed and flexible.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required License and/or Certification

• Current Maryland CNA
• American Heart Association CPR certification required.

Experience

• One (1) year of behavioral health experience in any setting preferred
• One (1) year of experience with children and/or adolescents preferred.
