Job summary

Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Part-Time Child Activities Assistant to welcome and supervise children, lead fun activities, and support themed programming in a safe, caring environment.

Ideal candidates are energetic, patient, and able to communicate well with parents, with at least 1 year of childcare experience and a High school diploma. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of childcare experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Welcome children and help them feel comfortable, excited, and included.
• Provide attentive supervision while maintaining a safe and engaging environment.
• Lead games, arts & crafts, storytelling, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with monthly themes and creative programming.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's needs and experience.
• Follow secure child check-in and check-out procedures.
• Help children navigate conflicts and communicate behavioral concerns appropriately.
• Provide snacks and meals while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• Keep the Child Activity Center clean, organized, stocked, and ready for fun.
• Assist with reservations, appropriate child-to-staff ratios, member billing, and reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Dependability and a team-first attitude.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or the ability to become certified.

WORK SCHEDULE

Our Child Activity Center is open seven days a week. Current ideal availability includes:

• Thursday: 4:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
• Friday: 4:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 7:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
