About the Company

Our client is a technology solutions provider headquartered in the Southeast US with several regional offices nationwide, serving enterprise clients across regulated and high-growth industries. The company is expanding into AI and data center work, and employee retention runs well above industry averages, a sign of a culture built around ownership rather than titles.

This is an in-person company where results matter more than hierarchy, and passing off responsibility isn't part of how the place runs.

The Role

Our client is building out a Chief Technology & Innovation Officer role for someone who wants to do more than keep the lights on. The company already has technology that works. This person's job is to build the next generation of it.

The CTIO will work closely with senior leadership, who stay closely involved in hires at this level, and will coordinate with the existing IT leadership function on where innovation priorities sit versus core operations.

What You'll Own

• Setting and driving the technology innovation agenda, distinct from day-to-day IT operations
• Translating deep hands-on technical knowledge into forward-facing strategy
• Bringing AI capability into the business in a way that's practical, not theoretical
• Working across the company's enterprise client base to identify where technology innovation creates real value

What We're Looking For

• A technologist who is genuinely obsessed with the craft, not just credentialed in it
• Someone who can operate forward-facing and externally, not just inside a data center
• A direct communicator who works well in a no-nonsense environment
• Comfort building innovation strategy alongside, not instead of, an existing IT leadership function

Compensation

Base salary starting at $250K, plus a performance bonus. Relocation support is available, and travel across the company's regional footprint should be expected. The majority of time will be based at headquarters, with some flexibility possible for the right hire.
