Job summary

Black Forest Supplements is seeking a CTO to lead our engineering function in Brickell, Miami. This hands-on leadership role will own the technical roadmap, manage the development team, and write code while shaping our ecommerce and telehealth platforms.

You’ll oversee a planned migration from Shopify to WooCommerce, build an internal analytics layer, and drive an experimentation program to optimize storefront performance and revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering at a DTC ecommerce company.
• Led at least one live platform migration with revenue protection.
• Proven people-management and feedback delivery.
• Experience with experimentation programs (A/B testing).
• Familiarity with HIPAA is a plus.

Company Description Black Forest Supplements is a data-driven, direct-to-consumer 8-figure DTC supplements brand with a telehealth arm. We own our products, our channels, and our customer relationships.

We've scaled and outgrown how we build software and operate our developers team internally. We're hiring the person who fixes that.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a CTO to lead our engineering function. You'll manage our development team, own the technical roadmap, and be accountable for everything we ship. From the ecommerce storefront

that generates our revenue to the internal platforms our teams run on. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set direction, and you'll still write code.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Our ecommerce platform, including a planned migration from Shopify to WooCommerce, executed without disrupting live revenue or organic search performance
• The technical platform for our telehealth division, including an operational dashboard for our clinical team and the EHR.
• Our internal analytics and reporting layer, the systems that tell the business what's working
• A conversion optimization and A/B testing program across the storefront (essential)
• Managing, coaching, and growing the development team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Engineering leadership experience at a direct-to-consumer ecommerce companyç
• At least one platform migration led on a live, revenue-generating store, with detail on how you protected revenue, SEO, and customer payment data through cutover
• Direct people-management experience: you've managed engineers, set expectations, given hard feedback, and developed people.
• Experience building or running an experimentation program: traffic splitting, sample sizing, statistical significance
• familiarity with handling protected health information (HIPAA) is a plus, not a requirement
