As the business grows, so will the engineering function, giving you the opportunity to build teams, establish technical strategy and play a key role in the company's long-term direction.

On offer is the opportunity to lead the complete technology and engineering strategy across advanced hardware, electrochemical systems, R&D and product development. You'll take ownership of the development and commercialisation of breakthrough technologies, lead multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams, and work directly with the CEO and wider leadership team to turn cutting-edge research into scalable, commercially viable products.

This role would suit a senior technical leader with deep experience across advanced hardware, electrochemistry and/or water technology, looking to join a fast-paced startup where they can apply their expertise, build something genuinely innovative and have a major influence on the future direction of the business.

The Role:

• Lead the technology vision and engineering strategy, taking breakthrough technologies from R&D and prototype through to commercial-scale deployment
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary engineering and R&D function, working across mechanical, electrical, chemical, environmental and physics disciplines
• Own the development of next-generation electrochemical and advanced water-treatment technologies, including product design, simulation, prototyping, testing and scale-up
• Work closely with the CEO, investors, partners and regulatory bodies, with significant autonomy, stock options and the opportunity to grow alongside a rapidly scaling water technology business

The Candidate:

• CTO level or ready
• Experience in water technology, electrochemical engineering, advanced hardware or a closely related DeepTech/industrial technology environment, including leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Proven hands-on expertise across electrochemical systems and advanced hardware
• Experience taking complex technologies from prototype through to deployment
