Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Health in Temple seeks a Division Chief for Supportive and Palliative Care to lead a multidisciplinary team of six physicians, three advanced practice providers, and one fellow at a large 600-bed facility. The role involves inpatient and outpatient leadership with a path toward expanding clinical research and hospice programs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Doctorate in Medicine, Texas medical licensure, and board certification or active pursuit in Palliative Medicine,

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
• Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Palliative Medicine, or pursuing board certification as per specialty boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6 faculty physicians, 3 advanced practice providers and 1 fellow performing inpatient and outpatient work at a 600-bed hospital in Temple.
• Provide strategic leadership for the Supportive and Palliative Care (SPC) division and collaborate with Inpatient Medicine, Geriatrics, Oncology and Heart Transplant.
• Allocate 20% protected time for administrative duties with opportunities for further research and hospice involvement as aligned with interests and background.
