Job summary

raydar is seeking a Head of Security and Compliance to lead the security function at a fast-paced fintech in San Francisco. You will shape security architecture, own the compliance roadmap, and drive incident response across the organization.

You will build security tooling, manage security engineers, and partner with legal and go-to-market teams to address customer security questions and audit attestations under major frameworks. On-site, full-time role with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to write code and read production software to trace and remediate security flaws.
• Strong grounding in application security, product security, secure SDLC, web security and DevSecOps.
• Demonstrated accountability for independent audit attestations under widely used security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build security tooling and processes that engineers adopt as part of shipping software.
• Manage and develop a group of security engineers.
• Strengthen secure development lifecycle practices, threat modeling and vulnerability management.
• Design security architecture for automated/AI-driven systems, covering data privacy and AI risks.
• Partner with legal and go-to-market teams on compliance and customer security questions.
• Own the compliance roadmap across major security frameworks.
• Lead incident response and build detection capabilities to drive improvements.
