Job summary

Raydar, a fast-growing AI research platform backed by Sequoia, is hiring its first dedicated security engineer. You will report to the CTO, define security architecture across the LLM pipeline and cloud, and build a practical program for handling sensitive voice, face, and device data at scale.

This on-site role in San Francisco offers high-impact ownership, opportunities to scale security for major customers, and potential to grow into leadership as the company expands.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering
• Software engineering or CS foundation before security
• Strong judgment across application and cloud security
• Ability to find vulnerabilities and work with engineers on remediation
• Experience building a security program in a fast-moving tech company
• Comfortable operating independently and communicating with technical leaders

Responsibilities

• Define and build security architecture across LLM pipeline, cloud, and product
• Partner with engineering teams on threat modeling and secure design
• Harden multi-tenant isolation and support multi-region data residency
• Own penetration tests, vulnerability scans, and remediation programs
• Manage internal device, access, identity, and security operations
• Serve as technical authority for audits, questionnaires, and reviews
• Build a roadmap for a scalable security program for Fortune 500 customers
