Job summary

Snorkel AI is hiring a Head of Security to build and lead our security function end-to-end — covering infrastructure security, application security, and governance, risk & compliance (GRC). You’ll own the security voice with customers, auditors, and the executive team, reporting to the CTO.

This builder’s role will scale the function as Snorkel grows, hiring and developing the team while defining security standards, incident response, and risk management across the org.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology security with significant leadership experience
• Track record building and scaling a security function from startup to a mature org
• Experience owning security budgets and reporting to board/execs

Responsibilities

• Define security strategy, goals, and roadmap across infrastructure, applications, and compliance
• Build and lead a high-performing security organization with scale
• Own cloud security architecture and posture (AWS, IAM, encryption, landing zones)
• Drive threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure CI/CD practices
• Lead GRC programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and audits
• Partner with Legal, Sales, Operations, and Engineering to enable enterprise deals and customer trust
