Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking a Vice President of Product and Platform Security to lead security architecture and engineering for all FRFS products and platforms. You will embed security throughout the product lifecycle and serve as the primary security advisor to cross-functional teams.

The role requires exceptional communication, strategic vision, and hands-on expertise in threat modeling, SSDLC, DevSecOps, cloud security, and modern architectures. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a technical field is required.
• Master's degree and professional security certifications preferred.
• 10+ years in information security with 5+ years in security for products/apps.
• 5+ years leading security teams in large organizations.
• Deep knowledge of SSDLC, threat modeling, DevSecOps, and modern app architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security architecture for FRFS products and platforms.
• Oversee secure reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards.
• Establish and mature SSDLC practices with threat modeling and secure coding.
• Guide evaluation and adoption of security technologies and controls.
• Identify, assess, and communicate security risks to stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Product and Platform Security team.
• Build partnerships with product management, software engineering, architecture, and operations.
• Provide strategic security guidance for roadmaps and technology investments.
