Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a visionary Chief Scientific & Policy Affairs Officer to establish and lead the company's scientific and regulatory affairs, serving as the senior scientific representative to regulators, policymakers, and academics. This role will translate emerging science into business insight and guide external engagement across nutrition and food policy.

Qualifications

PhD, MD, or DO in Nutrition, Food Science, Toxicology, Public Health, Medicine, or related.
15+ years of progressive leadership in scientific and regulatory affairs, regulatory science, nutrition science, or related fields.
Experience building credibility with regulators, policymakers, and scientific organizations.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead the company's scientific and policy affairs strategy and governance.
Monitor emerging scientific, regulatory, and public policy issues; translate findings into strategic recommendations.
Represent the company with regulators, policymakers, scientific organizations, academic experts, and media.
Serve as external spokesperson on nutrition, ingredient science, and public health topics.
Lead development of scientific and regulatory positions supporting regulatory submissions and external engagement.
