Job summary

Sezzle Bank seeks an experienced Chief Risk Officer to design and maintain a second-line risk management program for the Bank. You will measure credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk, including model risk, and coordinate with the Board and its Risk & Compliance Committee.

You will lead risk governance, supervise the CCO, BSA, and CISO functions, and ensure alignment with risk appetite, policies, and regulatory expectations in a national, fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• 15-20+ years in banking or financial services with significant risk management experience.
• Minimum 7-10 years in a senior risk leadership role (CRO, SVP Risk, or equivalent).
• Proven track record building and leading enterprise-wide risk governance programs.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-wide risk management strategies, policies, and risk appetite with Board oversight.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report risks across the Bank; ensure regulatory and policy alignment.
• Oversee second-line functions including compliance, BSA/AML/OFAC, and information security in coordination with the CISO.
