Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Chief Resident for Internal Medicine (PGY-4) for Academic Year 2027-2028. This one-year appointment includes a faculty role, clinic precepting, and leadership responsibilities within a 45/13 resident program.

The Chief Resident will mentor residents, collaborate with faculty and program leadership, and gain experience in teaching, leadership, and administration in a highly academic community hospital.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency prior to start date.
• Current PGY-3 Internal Medicine resident in good standing.
• Eligible for Missouri medical licensure.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Interest in resident education and mentorship.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for licensure purposes.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical service commensurate with level of advancement under supervision.
• Cooperate with Program, School of Medicine and Hospital for documentation.
• Develop and follow a personal program of self-study and professional growth.
• Maintain and schedule Core Curriculum, annual schedules, and CME conferences.
