Job summary

Texas A&M University System Offices seeks a Chief Research Security Officer to steer system-wide strategy and programs securing classified, controlled, unclassified and export-controlled research. You will oversee security infrastructure for the system's U.S.

Government-accredited secure space and ensure NIST SP 800-171 compliance of the Secure Computing Enclave housing sensitive, federally funded research.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience supporting a Cleared Defense Contractor in academic/government environments.
• Experience managing a team of employees across local and offsite facility locations.
• Experience with Special Access Program Management.
• Experience in security for construction of SAPFs and SCIFs.
• Experience interpreting D2254s, Security Classification Guides and related contract management.
• Experience in security implementation for existing programs and new program starts.
• Management experience leading internal audits, vulnerability assessments and security RFP reviews.
• Experience as an ISSM or ISSO or in ISSM management.

Responsibilities

• Lead TAMUS Security Management Team.
• Advise TAMUS on export control, CUI and other security requirements.
• Develop and maintain TAMUS Counter-Intelligence Program.
• Develop and maintain TAMUS Insider Threat Program per federal guidelines.
• Serve as TAMUS primary contact with the Intelligence Community.
• Plan and manage all security functions for TAMUS including personnel, training, OPSEC and classification management.
• Ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM and IC requirements across TAMUS security policies.
• Perform administrative security support for receipt, transmission and disposition of classified material.
