The successful candidate will orchestrate governance, inspire interdisciplinary teams, and drive funding, partnerships, and translational initiatives at scale within a leading public research

Qualifications

• MD, MD/PhD, or PhD with distinguished scholarly record and tenure.
• Significant senior leadership experience in an academic medical center or research university.
• Experience leading large, complex research organizations and growing funding portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Define the scientific direction and forward-looking research agenda for Dell Medical School and UT Medicine.
• Build governance and culture to support bold ideas and interdisciplinary teams.
• Unite investigators across medicine, engineering, data science, public health, and UT Austin ecosystem.
• Attract transformative funding and cultivate high-impact partnerships to advance a translational research enterprise.
• Accelerate translation from bench to bedside through strategic investment in infrastructure and people.
