The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is seeking a Chief of Psychiatry to lead the Psychiatry Service. This role involves program planning, oversight of psychiatric care at the medical center, and administration of staff. The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is hiring a Psychiatrist to serve as the Chief of Psychiatry Service. The position has overall responsibility for program planning involving psychiatric care for patients of the Battle Creek VA Medical Center and associated outpatient clinics. The Service Chief is responsible for all professional and administrative activities within the Service, including: selection, orientation, evaluation, and continuing education of staff.
Duties

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Currently employed physicians in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
