Job summary

Rhode Island Department of Revenue is seeking a Chief, Program Development (Non-Union Executive Branch) to lead statewide planning, program development and research across divisions, coordinating with other departments and agencies to improve services for Rhode Islanders.

Qualifications

A thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of program planning and development and the ability to set standards and administrative controls.
Working knowledge of federal, state and community resources and legislation and their interrelationships.
Ability to act as a liaison between the director and division heads and coordinate with local governments and community groups.
Ability to evaluate existing programs and develop plans for expansion, modification, or discontinuation.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate the total planning, program development and research for the department's programs.
Coordinate with other departments and agencies to improve services and implement new programs.
Liaise with local governments and community groups and assist in initiating, developing and implementing projects.
Draft reports and review material for the director regarding program development and funding considerations.
