Nugwa Consulting is seeking a Chief Product Officer for a remote, global role to lead product strategy for a fintech payments company acquisition. You will define the vision, roadmaps, and lifecycle across markets, including payments, lending, and risk management.
You will collaborate with senior leadership, mentor product managers, and drive cross-functional execution with technology, operations, and commercial teams, in a fast-paced, international setting.
Note: This is not an immediate opportunity. We are putting together a team to acquire a fintech company that is listed on the London Stock Exchange and headquartered in London and San Francisco. The fundraising and takeover process might take 6-8 months. Potential candidates should be able to work with this timeline.
Company Description: Nugwa Consulting is an investment vehicle set up to acquire and develop companies in key sectors where we have sufficient expertise. The target company is a fintech payments company listed on the London Stock Exchange and operating in more than 50 countries globally. It is headquartered in the UK and the US.
Role Description: The Chief Product Officer (CPO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and executing the product vision and strategy across the target company's key markets (payments, later lending and risk management). The CPO will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including market analysis, opportunity assessment, product roadmap development, and lifecycle management for existing and new products. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with senior leadership to align product strategy with business objectives, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate client needs into product features, and prioritizing initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and risk. The CPO will oversee product performance metrics, refine processes based on data and feedback, and ensure that product plans are communicated clearly and implemented effectively. This role also includes mentoring product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across commercial, operations, and technology teams.
