• Personnel Management: Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate department staff, ensuring staffing levels and performance management.
• Inventory & Vendor Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, negotiate pricing and programs with suppliers, and uphold service levels.
• Customer & Vendor Relations: Serve as primary contact for accounts and suppliers with prompt, professional communication.
• Process Improvement: Establish and refine departmental procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Strategic Oversight: Oversee internal logistics/freight control and merchandising teams as assigned.
• Marketing & Promotional Execution: Direct marketing functions, including trade shows, campaigns, and launches.
• Strategic Growth & Sales Support: Lead bid analyses and collaborate across teams to grow private-label lines.
