Job summary

TransLash Media is seeking a Director of Podcast Production to lead the podcast department with strategic, editorial, and operational oversight. The role supervises Senior Producers and collaborates with the Executive Producer, ensuring projects are clearly scoped and executed at high editorial standards.

The Director partners with cross-functional leaders to shape creative vision, manages budgets, and aligns with organizational goals while maintaining a strong focus on TGNC perspectives.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in podcasting or audio production with leadership
• Strong editorial judgment and experience reviewing scripts for factual accuracy
• Experience budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating workflows across teams
• Ability to build internal/external partnerships and align with organizational goals
• Comfort working with executives and senior leadership in a collaborative, accountable structure
• Experience creating culturally competent coverage for TGNC communities

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the podcast department, supervising Senior Producers
• Oversee project intake, feasibility, scope, and alignment with priorities
• Formalize scalable systems for intake, workflows, and production efficiency
• Partner with leadership to align podcast strategy with organizational goals
• Review scripts and editorial materials for accuracy and voice alignment
• Ensure on-time delivery and adherence to approved scope
• Guide scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting with Operations
• Refine workflows across development, production, editorial, and delivery
• Delegate duties and provide coaching and performance feedback
• Manage relationships with external partners, platforms, and collaborators
• Collaborate across departments for coordinated storytelling
