Qualifications

• Experience leading engineers across time zones and blended teams.
• Ability to translate business priorities into engineering plans.
• Ownership of uptime, incident response, and on-call structures.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and technical-debt decisions across the platform, creating documented plans that guide executive decisionmaking.
• Own code review norms, testing expectations, deployment safety, and delivery metrics.
• Champion AI-native engineering practices to remove toil and create leverage.
• Lead, coach, and grow a blended team of full-time engineers, contractors, and offshore partners across time zones.
• Run 1:1s, career coaching, and build a culture of collaboration and ownership.
• Set clear expectations, manage capacity, and ensure delivery predictability.
• Translate business priorities into scoped engineering plans, and engineering constraints into language that non-technical colleagues and government customers can act on.
• Own uptime, incident response, and on-call structure, partnering with InfoSec and Compliance.
• Be in front of customers when it matters, ensuring mission-critical software meets compliance obligations.
