Job summary

Siemens AG in the United States is seeking a Chief Architect for Core Business Services to define and drive architectural vision for a portfolio of foundational platform services, including licensing, integrations, software delivery, and usage analytics.

You will collaborate with engineering and product leaders to shape the technical evolution, ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable architecture, and mentor senior engineers across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, including large-scale enterprise systems.
• Proven ability to define and evolve architecture across multiple teams and product offerings.
• Expertise in cloud-native and hybrid architectures, APIs, security, and platform engineering.
• Strong strategic thinking balancing long-term direction with pragmatic delivery.
• Ability to mentor architects and senior engineers, promoting technical excellence.
• Fluent English, excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the architectural vision and roadmap for Core Business Services.
• Drive architectural consistency across engineering teams with standards and guidelines.
• Lead architecture of platform capabilities, APIs, and shared services for multiple products.
• Provide technical leadership through reviews, mentoring, and guidance for senior staff.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation while ensuring sustainability.
• Drive platform modernization and reduce technical debt through reusable components.
