Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks a senior aviation leader to manage a professional pilot team across Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR.

You will act as PIC on flights and ensure strict compliance with FAR Part 91 and internal SOPs, while coordinating with schedulers and maintenance to guarantee aircraft availability. Responsibilities include updating the FOM/SOPs, approving expenses, maintaining licenses and training records, and guiding pilot recruitment and onboarding for ongoing PIC upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation or equivalent corporate aviation experience.
• Airline transport pilot certificate with multi-engine & instrument rating (without limitations).
• CL30 type rating.
• FAA first class medical certificate (within 12 months).
• Valid U.S. passport with no travel restrictions.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Flight time: 3000 hours total fixed-wing; 1500 hours multi-engine; 1000 hours PIC turbine/turboprop.

Responsibilities

• Select, develop and lead a professional staff of pilots in the company aviation department.
• Ensure flight operations comply with FAR Part 91, FOM and SOPs.
• Serve as PIC on assigned flights.
• Coordinate daily with scheduler and maintenance for crew and aircraft availability.
• Approve and maintain FOM, SOPs and checklists.
• Approve pilot expense reports.
• Maintain pilot licenses, medical and training records.
• Collaborate in recruitment, interviewing, and selection.
• Lead onboarding and PIC upgrade objectives.
• Assist in EFB program development and maintenance.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
