• Completion of a Masters' Degree in Nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• Previous experience in a surgical weight loss program or operating room environment strongly preferred.
• Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts required.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required (ARNP or PA-C).
• BLS healthcare provider required.

Job description

• Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, and in direct collaboration with the Medical Director, and any supervising physicians, performs duties to assist the supervising physicians in a wide range of clinical tasks, is responsible in managing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient duties performed by the physician assistants, as well as emergency situations, while adhering to standard practices and established procedures. This position ensures the quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education
  • Completion of a Masters' Degree in Nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required.
• Experience
  • Previous experience in a surgical weight loss program or operating room environment strongly preferred.
• Licensure and/or Certification
  • Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts required.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner of Physician Assistant required (this is required for Massachusetts licensure). (ARNP) or (PA-C)
