Job summary

Eastcastle Place seeks a Director of Philanthropy to advance fundraising, grant writing, donor cultivation, and community engagement. You will lead strategic development, cultivate major gifts, and champion philanthropy across the organization.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will build on a legacy of generosity, steward relationships with residents and foundations, and broaden opportunities for philanthropic growth while guiding events and communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of fundraising and nonprofit development experience.
• Professional grant-writing experience with proven success.
• Strong public speaking and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Research funding opportunities and write, submit, and manage grant proposals.
• Lead fundraising initiatives, including annual campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and donor solicitations.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, residents, families, foundations, and community partners.
• Represent Eastcastle Place through public speaking, presentations, donor meetings, and community events.
• Identify new funding sources and develop strategies to grow philanthropic support.
• Plan and coordinate fundraising events, donor appreciation activities, and promotional materials.
