Job summary

El Rio Health's Director of Pharmacy provides administrative, strategic and operational leadership for our Pharmacy, delivering high-quality patient care while meeting regulatory standards in Arizona.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, optimize formulary decisions, and drive quality improvement across the network, including 340B compliance and technology-driven efficiencies.

Qualifications

• MBA or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Ten (10) years of management experience; preferably in a pharmacy environment.
• Five (5) years' experience working in a pharmacy as a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs the quality standards of all functions and services of the Pharmacy Departments and associated programs.
• Establishes and leads the integration of Continuous Quality Improvement principles into pharmacy operations.
• Ensures HIPAA and confidentiality compliance across departments and staff.
• Directs planning, coordination and operation of all pharmacy locations and services.
• Develops and implements plans to optimize clinical and operational performance.
• Maintains compliance with Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and regulatory standards.
• Prepares complex reports and financial statements related to pharmacy activities.
• Manages department leaders, staff development, evaluations and disciplinary actions.
