The New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority is seeking a Chief People Officer to lead day-to-day HR operations, policies, and personnel administration across campuses. The role partners with senior executives on benefits, payroll, pension, employee relations, and labor matters while ensuring policy compliance and a positive workplace culture.

The candidate will oversee recruitment, job descriptions, retention, disability and unemployment claims, and the Work From Home program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills across all staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day personnel activities and HR administration.
• Develop policies, programs, and procedures related to employment, benefits, payroll and pension.
• Recruitment, retention, job descriptions, and labor relations support.
• Oversee benefits administration, disability/unemployment claims and Work From Home program.
• Guide investigations, discipline, grievances and ensure policy compliance.
