Job summary

Greenberg Gross LLP is seeking a Head of Human Resources to build and scale the HR function for a growing, multi-state law firm. Reporting to the Managing Partner, this role provides strategic and practical HR guidance across attorneys and professionals.

The position is hands-on, building the HR team, establishing scalable processes, and strengthening people infrastructure to support rapid growth and high accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business admin, organizational leadership or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive HR experience.
• Minimum 5 years of senior HR leadership experience advising executives.
• Experience supporting a multi-state and multi-location workforce.
• Law firm or professional-services experience strongly preferred.
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise Firm leadership on HR strategy and operations.
• Strengthen HR operating model, organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, processes, and decision-making practices.
• Lead, develop, and establish accountability for HR, culture, recruiting, and HR operations.
• Provide senior-level guidance on employee relations, investigations, leaves, and workplace conduct.
• Partner with outside employment counsel on legally complex matters.
• Lead workforce planning and talent acquisition strategy for attorneys and professional staff.
• Develop performance-management and manager-development practices.
• Provide leadership on compensation strategy, job structure, and total rewards.
• Lead multi-state HR compliance, handbook, and policies.
• Strengthen HR administration across onboarding, payroll, and HR data reporting.
• Evaluate and optimize HR systems, data, and workflows.
