Dobbs Truck Group is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead HR operations, employment practices, and talent programs for an 800-employee organization across seven states. The role partners closely with the CEO and executive team to ensure leadership, workforce, and workplace practices support business growth and performance.

This hands-on HR executive role focuses on execution, consistency, compliance, talent sourcing, and operational support rather than strategic advisory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Experience leading HR for a geographically dispersed, multi-location operation.
• Strong knowledge of federal employment law across multiple states (e.g., CA, WA).
• Ability to travel regularly across the company’s operating footprint.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR leadership and business support to align priorities with operating goals and compliance.
• Provide practical HR guidance on workforce planning, staffing, policy application, and risk.
• Lead workforce planning for current and future business needs across locations.
• Guide leaders through growth, restructures, acquisitions, and transitions.
• Establish company-wide HR priorities and use data to drive decisions.
• Oversee recruiting and onboarding for technicians, operational leaders, and sales roles.
• Coordinate training to apply policies and improve supervision across locations.
• Establish performance management practices with feedback and development.
